Election Postponed to June 30th

After receiving permission for the State of Oklahoma Election Board, The Village City Council voted unanimously to postpone the April 7th Ward 5 City Council election to June 30, 2020.

I spoke with the Oklahoma County Election Board after receiving several questions about absentee ballots. If you already sent in your absentee ballot for the now postponed April 7th election, that ballot is now VOID. So you’ll have to re-vote in June. If you registered to receive an absentee ballot for every election, a new one will automatically be sent to you. For those who registered for an absentee ballot for just this election, you’ll soon receive a letter from the County Election Board explaining the situation and asking you to reregister for a new ballot.
